About Us

The Company
Zagodi Fashion is a family venture operated by husband and wife: Mohamed and Sandrine, from Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.  "Zagodi" is the ethnic name of Sandrine and means:  "A husband should always provide his wife with presents".  Sandrine, CEO of Zagodi Fashion, also works in an international financial institution and Mohamed is the fashion designer/custom clothier.

The Designer
Mohamed was introduced to the fashion industry in 1984 by his uncle, also a fashion designer.  He has more than 25 years of progressive and diverse experience in clothing design and is considered to be one of the most distinguished fashion designers in the DC/MD/VA area.

Mohamed has been the exclusive designer of the prominent staff of the international financial institutions based in Washington, DC such as the World Bank and the IMF. He is also well-known in the African Diplomatic Corps precisely as the "couturier" of the Ambassadors' wives and the female Ambassadors as well.

He has participated in a tremendous number of fashion shows mostly fundraising events as his way of showing his support to the community and showcasing the beauty of the African designs.

Our Mission
At Zagodi Fashion, there is an intrinsic belief that every client is uniquely different. It is our mission to therefore work with each client in designing and tailoring custom-made pieces that compliment, accentuate and enhance the client's natural beauty. Our signature is to provide the quality and like-for-like finishing of our garments made up of traditional and modern tendencies.
